Okay, I admit it: I was a big masters of the universe fan as a kid...and some weeks ago, I found the old He-man movie with Dolph Lundgren in my library which kind of enkindled the flame again
So this is my kind of version, a little, tiny bit finalfantasy-ish costume-wise though. I can even hear some people screaming: "No, this is not He-man, He-man is influenced by barbarian warriors such as Conan, his costume is different..." well, what costume? The man was wearing a pantie!!!
I know the hairdo is something to argue about, it may look a little bit too much like a dressmen instead of a warrior, I was heading for a younger and more modern look...
And I know...Battlecats head armor is missing, but I really like his face and did not want to hide it...
This is more a kind of sad image, I don't think Adam was too happy with his destiny of becoming THE warrior, it makes him somehow appear lonely and misunderstood...

I agree with your assessment wholeheartedly; Prince Adam took on a lifetime's heavy burden of serving the demands of the Power at a very young age. Few ever seem to question whether he really wanted to - or whether he ever regretted the accepting the burden forced on him. Most seem to think that being a hero is easy; I suspect very strongly that this is not the case at all.
And I like your image very much; it captures that essential ambiguity of the consequences of NOT having a choice....
Thank you very much for sharing your powerful insight so graphically.
